"The great migration of life": best photograph of the month by the scientific journal NATURE

Every year for thousands of years, an exceptional natural phenomenon has been taking place in South Africa: the largest animal migration in the world. The 1 OCEAN team traveled to the country's east coast to witness this incredible event as part of the "Great Migration of Life" mission, which is an integral part of the UNESCO & 1 OCEAN Foundation explorations.

This project will be the subject of a photo exhibition and documentary for the Arte channel with La Caz'A Productions in 2024.

In this absolutely unique photo, Steven Surina is caught on camera filming two Cape fur seals. Alexis Rosenfeld captured this moment, which was named the best photograph of the month by the renowned scientific journal NATURE.
